SiC Lubrication is a revolutionary development as it chemically creates a permanent Silicon Carbide, "SiC", coating at a micron level within the valleys of the surface of all metal parts in which the lubrication is introduced.  SiC Lubrication is the process of introducing Silicon into a Carbon atmosphere in order to create high performance lubrication.  It is well known that Silicon Carbide, SiC, is used as a high performance surface protector due to its properties of being able to withstand extreme temperatures. High performance parts and equipment manufacturers utilize SiC in some of their most expensive parts.  Typical uses of SiC are stationary or dynamic turbine components, seals, bearings, process equipment, engine components, and custom coating for professional racing engines.

Chemical purity, resistance to chemical attack at high temperatures, and strength retention at high temperatures has made SiC very popular as a metal treatment. Although the process of producing and coating materials with SiC is normally very expensive and involves many steps to achieve the final product. SiC Lubrication achieves the properties of SiC coatings in a simple one-time application.

All Cerma STM-3 Treatments and Cerma Motor Oils are created using the same proprietary SiC process, and Cerma is the one and only leader in this technology.



Cerma has been in the forefront of SiC lubrication since its inception in 2001 by invetor John Murray.  Cerma was the first to utilize the acids and carbon within the engine oil to create a SiC coating across the entire surface of the engine.  Cerma STM-3 is a proprietary formulation blended to create a high performance lubrication for use in cars, trucks, aircraft, marine, HVAC units and virtually all equipment utilizing metal parts requiring lubrication. So good, it's SiC!

Cerma STM-3 Engine Treatments work with both Auto and Diesel applications and the chemistry works within a number of areas within a vehicle including the crankcase, the transmission and the drive train.

Cerma Motor Oils work with both Auto and Diesel vehicles utilizing the same SiC chemistry.

Cerma STM-3 Grease creates SiC coatings within the operating environment of the equipment being treated.  Thus the equipment operator receives all the benefits of SiC coatings without the high cost.

Cerma STM-3 HVAC (Cerma Blue Ice) is added to the Freon and creates a SiC coating along the entire surface inside the coils and removes the moisture by chemicially changing the H2O molecules into the coating.  The lack of moisture and the hard heat resistant micron coating provide maximum efficiency to the unit.



SiC structural and wear applications are seemingly endless. Some of SiC's key properties include: low density, high strength, low thermal expansion, high thermal conductivity, high hardness, high elastic modulus, excellent thermal shock resistance, and superior chemical inertness.
